Reports
The submit form stores the plan, an optional model, what you were doing, how long it lasted and the unit, the cap type, the date, an optional source link, and an optional email.
A submission starts in a review queue. It is not public until it is approved. The public report is the plan, model, write-up, date, and source link. The email is not copied onto that public report and is not shown on the site. The form asks for it only so we can write if a question comes up.
Weekly note
If you subscribe, your email is stored in our database and added as a subscribed contact in Resend, the service that sends the weekly note.
Sponsor inquiries
The sponsor form stores your name, email, company, URL, and message so we can reply. When email delivery is configured, a copy is also sent to us.
Spam prevention
For submissions, newsletter signups, sponsor inquiries, and page views we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store the IP itself. The hash is what we use to limit how often the same network can submit a report, sign up, or send a sponsor note.
What we log
Pages record a first-party view: the path, the referrer, and the hashed IP. Searches that match nothing are logged as the query and the filters only. A click on a sponsor link logs which sponsor was clicked, and nothing else about you.
We don't use third-party analytics or ad trackers, and this site doesn't set cookies. The browser keeps two things in its own storage: a short timer so the same page isn't counted again within ten seconds, and a flag if you dismiss the sponsor bar.
Selling data
We don't sell this data.
